Our first naked elf

I am a bit confused as to how we knew we had to rescue Findel.  I think somehow his church and Idria's were associated and they told her to tell me to rescue him.

It was all very confusing.

Anyway, with little fanfare and less planning, the five of us ended up at Kobold Manor, now the rumored home of a band of raiding kobolds.  The old keep was in ruins and deserted save a trap door amid the rubble of the abandoned guard tower.

A brief discussion followed.  Since I'm the one in plate mail, I opened the door.

No kobolds attacked.  It was just an empty tunnel leading downward.  It was time for us to develop our first plan.  Since the tunnel was dark, we decided to send our three stealthy and sneaky types down to see what was down there while the Deva and I waited above making sure we weren't being lured in and trapped.  Once our scouting party determined what we were up against, we'd make a decision on how to proceed.

Things went smoothly as Izzy, Akai-Tori and Listillin disappeared into the darkness.  Things stopped going smoothly forty seconds later as we heard the sound of fighting and Akai-Tori suddenly appeared in front of the avenger and me saying, "Kobolds.  Izzy started shooting."

For the first (but definitely not the last) time, I charged down the hall trying to figure out what trouble Izzy and Listillin had gotten themselves into.

I ran into an open room with a giant pit of green goo in the middle of the room. Two kobolds with slings were firing pots of goo at us and there were three kobolds with spears.  Izzy was firing arrows, Listillin had his sword out, Akai-Tori followed me and I'm sure Idria was in there, but I wasn't paying attention as I charged one of the kobolds with a spear...  and after that, I have no idea what happened.  I must have been hit in the head because now it is now all a blur.  We defeated all of the kobolds but one, who retreated to a room hidden in the back.  Before we could chase him in, he called out in halting common that if we came any closer he'd kill our friend.

Well, that would have been bad.  We convinced him to let Findel go and we let him depart freely.  Findel was unconscious and stripped of his gear, but we quickly revived him and our adventuring party was back up to six.

Much more happened that day;  I will tell more of the story soon.
